Art made with
intention,
kept forever.
I'm Lisa Zhou — graphic designer, illustrator, and stationery maker based in Melbourne. Every piece starts with a feeling and ends with something you can hold.
Melbourne studio, a lifetime of drawing
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. Growing up, sketchbooks were my constant companion — filling pages with anything that caught my eye, from street food stalls to patterns on vintage teacups.
After studying graphic design, I realised the work that truly lit me up wasn't on a screen — it was the handmade kind. The kind that lives on your desk, gets gifted to a friend, or tucked into a journal.
Today I create from my Melbourne studio, where my love of art, food, wine, and the low-tempo groove of jazzy hip-hop all find their way into the work somehow.
"Everything I make is rooted in something I genuinely love — the rest follows."
Everything begins
with a blank page
No templates. No stock assets. Every pattern, character, and composition in the catalogue was drawn from scratch — usually multiple times before it feels right.
My process is deeply personal. I research cultural references, sketch loose concepts in pencil, refine in ink, then translate to digital for precise colouring and layout. The result is work that couldn't have come from anywhere else.
Each collection starts with a mood — a season, a memory, a sound — and builds from there into a cohesive set of pieces that feel like they belong together.
"Originality isn't a feature — it's the whole point."
Made to be kept,
not just collected
Every material choice is deliberate. I source paper, inks, and substrates chosen to last — because the work deserves it, and so do you.
